ESG Essentials -Environment Social and Governance Essentials

ESG Essentials – Environment, Social and Governance Essentials is a European project designed to support SMEs and vocational education and training stakeholders in the practical integration of ESG principles into business strategies and operations. Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, the project promotes a hands-on and collaborative approach to sustainability, strengthening skills, awareness, and cooperation among companies, trainers, and stakeholders at European level. Through a strong transnational partnership, ESG Essentials aims to contribute to the development of a more responsible, competitive, and sustainability-oriented business ecosystem, aligned with the European Union’s 2030 sustainability goals.

Programme: The project “ESG Essentials” is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

Goals

Objectives

  • The project is aligned with the European Council’s conclusions on “Building a sustainable Europe by 2030 – Progress thusfar and next steps”, (10/12/2019).
  • The results of the project will aim in making the above intrinsic not only to consortium members but also in companies that will join follow the project and their stakeholders.
  • The activities of the project will encourage the engagement of SMEs and increase the number of SMEs integrating ESG and sustainability in their business activities.

  • SMEs and Microenterprises
  • Business professionals, consultants, and entrepreneurs
  • VET organisations
  • VET professionals/trainers

 

 
Research Output

Results of the Project

The expected results of the ESG Essentials project include:

  1. Improved understanding and adoption of ESG and its application by SMEs,
  2. Enhanced capacity of trainers to deliver ESG training,
  3. Increased collaboration among SMEs and other stakeholders on ESG issues,
  4. Greater recognition of the importance of ESG by SMEs and other stakeholders,
  5. Improved sustainability and social responsibility among SMEs.
