EU Funding programs

The European Union and its member States, as a whole, have to achieve important objectives within the Europe 2020 strategy, particularly related to Employment, Development and the Social Cohesion issues.
The EU founding represent an important instrument, through which the European Union, in collaboration with all the Member States, can reduce the existent gaps.
In order to reach the political targets, the European Union, has made available – also for the period 2014-2020- important funding in favor to public entities, enterprises and associations.

Direct funding

They are directly payed by the EU, following specific call for tender, with the objective to improve the implementation of the EU policies in well-defined sectors (innovation, environment, etc.)
The projects must have innovative methodologies, well adaptable also in the other EU countries.
Transnational requirement: Usually, the projects have to be presented by Consortia made of partners from different EU Countries.
Size of the contribution: Usually, the EU contribution covers only a part of the project costs.

 

Indirect funding

The indirect funding, represent around a third of the EU budget and they are regional and structural policy founds, implemented by the national and regional authorities, in the coesion policy sector whose aims is to reduce the gaps between the different EU regions.
The EU requires the co-financing of the measures on the part of the national and regional authorities.
They can finance investments of the enterprises, as long as in the respect of the priorities foresees by the regional/national program adopted. The advantages given to the enterprises have, therefore, respect the EU legal framework on the State aids.

(Italiano) Strumenti per l'accesso al credito

(Italiano) Accessibili dalle imprese tramite intermediari finanziari. Sono interventi simili a quelli del mercato finanziario, ma con condizioni tendenzialmente più favorevoli.

 

(Italiano) Opportunità per le PMI nei paesi extra-UE

(Italiano) Sono previsti nell’ambito delle politiche di aiuto dell’UE ai paesi terzi.
Molti programmi comunitari prevedono un’assistenza diretta ai paesi terzi, le PMI europee possono beneficiarne in maniera indiretta (per esempio partecipando alle gare pubbliche per attuare questi programmi).
Altri programmi specifici, pur non prevedendo sovvenzioni dirette alle PMI europee, ne favoriscono comunque l’accesso ai mercati esteri, per esempio tramite help desk dedicati, banche dati, etc.
