MEDinCHAMBERS is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at strengthening cross-border governance in textile value chains across Italy, Spain, Tunisia, Egypt, and Turkey.
The project focuses on building a shared knowledge network among Chambers of Commerce from EU and Mediterranean Partner Countries, fostering effective collaboration, addressing common challenges, and supporting the sustainable and competitive growth of the textile sector in the Mediterranean region.
The textile industry, which is strongly export-oriented between European countries and the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean region—with the EU as its main destination market—is currently at a critical turning point, where the adoption of sustainable practices has become essential. In this context, MEDinCHAMBERS supports textile businesses in the participating countries in adopting measures that ensure compliance with European sustainability regulations, while also promoting inclusive economic growth in rural and less-developed Mediterranean areas.
