Interreg Med Horizontal Project “SYNGGI – Synergies for Green Growth Initiatives – Energising the Impact of Innovation in the Mediterranean”

CUEIM is a partner of the Interreg Med Horizontal Project “SYNGGI – Synergies for Green Growth Initiatives – Energising the Impact of Innovation in the Mediterranean” which wants to support, to unify and to enhance activities and results of the modular projects in the framework of the Green Growth. That is possible thanks to activities such as communication, dissemination, networking and joint capitalization in order to facilitate the transfer and the widespread of the results at a transnational level so as to involve all the European regions, not only those included in the MED area.

The project will actively support the MED district areas related to the approved modular projects through the creation of a network and the establishment of a solid “Green Growth Community”, enhancing the sharing of the project results and the transversal exchange of the innovative practices among the stakeholders.

Moreover, SYNGGI wants to be a valid instrument in order to prevent the duplication of the results and the maximization of the modular project impact.

The Green Growth Community of the Interreg MED Program represents one of the eight thematic communities created by the Interreg MED program for the Mediterranean region sustainable development. It is composed of more than 95 public authorities, SMEs, research centers and ONG involved as partner or stakeholder.

The aim is to promote a sustainable development in the Mediterranean area based on the natural resources sound management towards an innovative perspective while considering the effects, produced by the social justice and the green job, on the labour market.

The project represents, therefore, a value added for the dissemination of good practices, facilitating, at the same time, the creation of synergies at a local, national and European level.

The lead partner of the SYNNGI project is Fundació Universitària Balmes (Spain). The other partners are Fondazione Ecosistemi (Italia), the Regional Council of Durres (Albania) and Dynamic Vision P.C (Greece).

It is an ongoing project, for a period of three years (01.11.2016 – 31.10.2019).
